PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project promotes equitable access to health services by addressing the social and structural barriers that limit access for adolescent girls, women, and young children. Through community engagement, gender-responsive education, and capacity building, it fosters inclusive support systems that empower the most vulnerable. The initiative includes champion groups, targeted training, and community-driven planning methods such as the innovative ColMEAL approach, while also strengthening the role of grassroots women’s organizations.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  • Empower adolescent girls and women (AGW) by enhancing self-confidence and support networks through Female and Male Champion Groups and targeted training.

  • Improve access to gender-responsive health, social, and nutrition services by building the capacity of caregivers, educators, and service providers.

  • Strengthen community-driven action by enabling vulnerable AGW to lead in addressing structural barriers, particularly in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), using the ColMEAL methodology.

  • Increase advocacy and support from key stakeholders and duty-bearers to sustain long-term, inclusive health outcomes.
