PROJECT DESCRIPTION

STRONGER (Stronger, Resilient Health Systems for SRHR) is a 7-year multi-sector initiative aimed at advancing the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of adolescent girls and women. The project targets those most at risk—especially individuals affected by GBV or living with disabilities—in marginalized areas across Kenya, Cambodia, and the Philippines. Through collaborative efforts led by ADRA Canada, in partnership with Salanga, HealthBridge, and local ADRA offices, STRONGER builds resilient, inclusive health systems that ensure equitable access to essential SRHR services and support.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  • Strengthen health systems to be more inclusive, gender-responsive, and accessible to AGW in IRRUA communities.
  • Promote the equal enjoyment of SRHR by addressing structural barriers such as gender-based violence, discrimination, and service inaccessibility.
  • Support survivors of GBV and individuals with disabilities through tailored SRHR services and community-level interventions.
  • Foster collaboration across sectors and countries to exchange learning and promote sustainable impact in Kenya, Cambodia, and the Philippines.
  • Enhance local capacity through partnerships with government, health workers, and civil society to drive long-term, community-led SRHR improvements.
