PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project aims to strengthen low-carbon, climate-resilient economic development in rural Kitui. By supporting sustainable livelihoods and environmentally friendly practices, it addresses both environmental and social vulnerabilities. The initiative places a special focus on empowering women, girls, and marginalized groups to lead and benefit from green economic opportunities, while promoting long-term resilience against climate shocks.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Promote climate-resilient livelihoods by introducing sustainable, low-carbon economic activities suited to rural settings.
Enhance community resilience to climate change, with targeted support for vulnerable groups, especially women and girls.
Foster inclusive green growth by ensuring equitable access to training, resources, and opportunities in climate-smart sectors.
Contribute to environmental sustainability through community education, nature-based solutions, and responsible resource use.
