Primary: Communities at high risk of infectious disease threats
Secondary: Health workers, surveillance teams, and local authorities involved in epidemic preparedness and response
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project aims to strengthen preparedness, detection, and response to polio outbreaks and other infectious disease threats in high-risk communities. Using a multi-sectoral approach, it enhances local capacity to manage public health emergencies. Additionally, the project supports global polio eradication efforts by improving population immunity and enhancing surveillance systems for Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) and other priority diseases.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Strengthen community-level preparedness and response to polio and other epidemics through coordinated, multi-sectoral strategies.
Enhance early detection capabilities for infectious disease threats, especially in vulnerable or high-risk areas.
Support global polio eradication efforts by increasing vaccination coverage and population immunity.
Improve surveillance systems for Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) and other priority health concerns to ensure timely action and reporting.
